From the noise of the city…
We left Brescia behind, with a life full of work, sport, projects and days that rushed by.
Life was good, but we felt the need to slow down, to have more time for ourselves and to breathe a different kind of air, in every sense.
… to the calm of the Tuscan hills
Then we found this village, nestled in the Tuscan hills between Montescudaio and Casale Marittimo, with the sea just a few minutes away and an immediate sense of calm.
And that's how Guardistallo became our new life. It became home.

Sara
I'm Sara, and through my studio Lafil Design I work in branding, graphic design and communication.
I love being active, spending time outdoors and everything that encourages us to slow down. I've been teaching yoga for a few years because I deeply believe in the value of breathing, slowing down and making time for ourselves.
I'm vegetarian, curious and definitely a food lover.
I love simple things done well and being in nature, because that's where, surrounded by quiet, fresh air and simplicity, I truly feel at home.
Giulio
Then there's Giulio, a wine maker who knows wines and wineries inside out and will be more than happy to recommend where to go, what to taste and why.
Between cycling, climbing and CrossFit, hardly a day goes by without some kind of sport.
He loves exploring, discovering new routes and sharing everything he knows, from cycling itineraries to the right restaurants.
If you're looking for local advice, he's probably the right person to ask.

And finally… there are our cats, who live with us and are part of the family. You may come across them on the stairs, where they wander around freely, curious and relaxed.
(They don't go into the apartments, though, and we ask you not to let them in, so the spaces always stay clean and ready for everyone.).

We chose a house that had already lived a life, with walls full of history and spaces that needed care.
We did much of the work ourselves, imagining our friends, family and now you living in these rooms.
Our wish?
To create a place where
you can feel the energy of the past without giving up the comforts of today.
